Blue Dolphin Swim School feels that every child should learn to be safe and comfortable in and around water. Location: Blue Dolphin Swim School
Position Type: Salaried (range $36,000-$40,000 dending on experience), Full-Time, weekday mornings AND evenings, as well as Saturday mornings
Reports to: Director

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, proactive Deck Supervisor to support daily swim lesson operations. This role is essential to maintaining safe, smooth, and on-time lessons. The ideal candidate is comfortable supervising the pool deck, assisting instructors, and stepping into the water when needed to ensure lesson continuity.

Key Responsibilities
Deck Supervision & Safety
  • Actively monitor the pool deck to ensure a safe, organized learning environment
  • Assist with enforcing pool rules and safety protocols
  • Serve as a point of contact for instructors, children, and parents during lessons
  • Communicate promptly with management regarding safety or staffing concerns
Lesson Flow & Operations
  • Support smooth transitions between classes
  • Help manage student placement and equipment
  • Assist instructors with set-ups, breakdowns, and lesson pacing
  • Step in to help maintain class flow during unexpected disruptions
Instructor Coverage
  • Be prepared to enter the water to cover lessons in the event of instructor absences or call-outs
  • Provide temporary instructional support or substitute teaching as assigned
  • Follow the established curriculum and Blue Dolphin Swim School standards when covering classes

    Team Support
  • Assist with onboarding and supporting new instructors
  • Model professionalism, positivity, and teamwork
  • Help communicate schedule changes or updates to staff as needed

Compensation: $36,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
